There is no single answer to this question and pages that give one are wrong for about half the people who ask it. Age counts completed birthdays, so everyone born in 1994 spends part of 2026 at 31 and the rest at 32. A birth year of 1994 places you in the Millennials.

Why the answer is a pair
Age in the US and almost everywhere else is age at last birthday: you are 31 until the day you turn 32, and then you are 32 for a year. Subtracting 1994 from 2026 gives 32, which is only right for the people whose birthday has already gone. For everyone else it is a year too high, and for anyone born on 31 December it is a year too high for all but one day of the year.
