How old am I if I was born in 1933?
92 or 93 — 92 if your birthday is still to come in 2026, and 93 once it has passed.
There is no single answer to this question and pages that give one are wrong for about half the people who ask it. Age counts completed birthdays, so everyone born in 1933 spends part of 2026 at 92 and the rest at 93. A birth year of 1933 places you in the Silent Generation.

Why the answer is a pair
Age in the US and almost everywhere else is age at last birthday: you are 92 until the day you turn 93, and then you are 93 for a year. Subtracting 1933 from 2026 gives 93, which is only right for the people whose birthday has already gone. For everyone else it is a year too high, and for anyone born on 31 December it is a year too high for all but one day of the year.
To get the single number, put your actual birthday into the calculator above. It counts completed years rather than subtracting, so it lands on the right side of the birthday.
