The other answer to the same question

30 days is one reading. 30 business days — counting only Monday to Friday — lands on Fri, August 21, 2026, which is 12 days from the answer above. A contract, a notice period and a court filing rarely say which they mean, and the gap grows by two days for every week in the span.

One marked day falls inside the span: Labor Day on Mon, September 7, 2026. A business-day count treats it as a working day unless the office is closed, which is the second thing a deadline in business days does not say.

Questions people actually ask

Why does my own count of 30 days ago come out a day different?
Because a span can be counted inclusively or exclusively and neither is wrong. This page counts the days between the two dates and no more: Fri, October 2, 2026 is day zero, not day one, so -30 days back lands on Wed, September 2, 2026. Count the starting day as well — the way a hotel counts nights against days, or a contract that says "within N days including the day of service" — and you land one day later. Read the wording before trusting either.
Are weekends and public holidays counted?
Both are counted here. Every day is a day. One marked day falls inside this span (Labor Day), and none of them changes the count. A public holiday is never deducted automatically, because which ones apply depends on where you are.
Is 30 days ago the same as 30 business days?
No — it is Fri, August 21, 2026, 12 days earlier. The gap grows by two days for every week in the span, and a contract, a notice period or a court filing rarely says which of the two it means.
What about 30 days before tomorrow?
Thu, September 3, 2026. Counting from tomorrow moves the answer forward by one day, and from yesterday back by one — Tue, September 1, 2026 — because the span is fixed and only the starting point moves. Anything counted "from tomorrow" is worth checking against the calendar rather than assumed, since a deadline written that way usually means the first full day after something happened.
Which day does this count from?
Fri, October 2, 2026, in US Eastern time. The page is regenerated hourly, so around midnight it can be a few hours behind your own date if you are in another zone — the answer is stated rather than assumed, which is the point of printing the starting day at all.
